Sapex Resource study

Geos Mining recently completed a review of existing resources data on 2 South Australian coal exploration licences for the newly formed South Australian company, Sapex Ltd.  A model of each seam and estimated volumes were developed using Gemcom.  The drilling and core data were audited, plotted and correlated to confirm the continuity and quality of the coal seams.  Significant JORC inferred coal reserves were determined which significantly added to the corporate knowledge of the company.

Swan River Kaolin Pty Ltd 

Geos Mining acts as exploration manager for Swan River Kaolin. We have assessed a number of prospects drilled on five exploration licences and outlined and estimated resources on one of these. We arranged and negotiated an exploration joint venture under three of these exploration licences.

We also managed Swan's successful applications for two federal Government grants, totaling $1.7m for research into water efficient processing. These grants have resulted in the construction and operation of a pilot plant, and Geos continues to assist Swan with advice and technical input into the feasibility of the project.

Portman Investments Pty Ltd

Geos Mining managed all exploration for a silicon metal project in NSW substantially increasing high grade lump silica resources in a deposit near Cowra. This involved trenching, drilling, geological modeling, geostatistical resource estimation and advice marketing of by-products.

Minerals Corporation Ltd

Geos Mining principal, Sue Border, located and supervised all stages of the development of the Staurolite Ridge garnet deposit, near Broken Hill, Australia, which is now being mined.

NSW Department of Planning

Geos Mining undertook a major study for the NSW Department of Planning to identify sources of construction materials for the Greater Sydney region up to and including 2031. An important component of this work was to identify the current freight corridors linking sources and destinations by type of material and by mode.
