How to use our Client Area to upload and download files.
UPLOADER INSTRUCTIONS
To upload a file
Log in using the ID and Password supplied by your Geos Mining contact person.
Enter an ID for the file that you are uploading. This ID must be different than any other ID currently being used and different than any uploader or administrators login id. The ID can be the same as the filename or different. The ID may not contain the following characters: * / \ ? or blank spaces
Enter a Password for the file. Passwords must be at least 6 characters long and contain a combination of capital and small letters and a number. The required complexity of the passwords ensures that it will be difficult to guess and the service will not be abused. Passwords can be reused for any purpose, but it is suggested that unigue passwords are used for each ID or user.
Use the browse button to select a single file or a zip folder of files to be uploaded. The filename should now appear beside the browse button.
Please be sure to record the ID and password that you created as you will need to email these to your mineral geos contact
Use the submit button to begin the upload. If you are uploading a large file or if you have a slow connection, you will have to wait for the upload. Most browsers have a progress indicator, but no other information will be shown until the upload finishes with success or failure.
To log out, simply close your browser window.
To download a file
To download a file, instead of logging in as an uploader or administrator,
simply enter the ID and Password of the file you would like to download. This will have been supplied by your Geos Mining contact.
Your web browser should then ask you what you would like to do with the file. Typically you will opt to save the file and pick a location for the file to be stored on your local computer.
To log out, simply close your browser window.
It has been found that the default refresh settings of some browsers appears to break this application. In some cases you may need to turn off automatic refresh settings and close your browser. This will frequently solve problems with logging in for the first time.
