Helen Ray

Helen RayHelen Ray is a senior geologist with extensive experience in industrial minerals, construction materials, land use planning, GIS and database management. Many years of work for the Geological Survey of NSW led to a high level of expertise in field mapping, construction and management of large databases, and GIS. She has specialist expertise in dimension stone, construction materials and a wide range of industrial minerals.

Helen is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, Geological Society of Australia and Australian Stone Advisory Association.

Greg MacRae

Greg MacRaeSenior Geologist, Greg MacRae has over 25 years experience and has worked on the Geological Survey of New South Wales. His areas of expertise are geological mapping, spatial data manipulation in a GIS environment, relational database development and management, land use planning in a mineral resource context, and industrial minerals assessment.

Greg Curnow

Greg CurnowSenior Geologist, Greg Curnow is JORC competent in gold having spent his early career in a number of gold companies in Australia and overseas. In addition to geology, Greg has formal qualifications in micro-computing, and is particularly expert in Mapinfo. He also has strong field work skills.

Morteza Jami

Dr Morteza JamiDr Morteza Jami has strengths in resource estimation and as an exploration geologist has worked on coal, iron ore, lead, fluorite, porphyry copper, chromites and a range of industrial minerals. He completed his PhD thesis in 2006 on ÒGeology, geochemistry and origin of the Esfordi Fe-P-REE deposit, central Iran, A Kiruna type variant.Ó Morteza worked for the Coal Compensation Board during 2005 and 2006 where he worked on the auditing and reserve estimation of open cut and underground coal mines. Morteza is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and is JORC competent in a range of minerals and coal.

Tom Bradbury

Tom BradburySenior geologist, Tom Bradbury has 20 years experience in a range of geology disciplines including 3D modelling, coal exploration and drilling. Tom spent 10 years in the Resource modelling division of the Coal Compensation Board and in this role completed 35 complex resource models. Tom has supervised drilling in a Cu-Pb-Zn mineralisation and has extensive experience in organising and managing drilling operations. Among other projects, Tom is presently working on bauxite exploration, and coal and metals drilling for Geos Mining.

Neil Raphael

Neil RaphaelSenior Geologist, Neil Raphael has a background in the Geological Survey of NSW with strong GIS and database skills. Amongst other roles in the Survey, Neil undertook extensive metallogenic mapping, especially in Cu-Au mineralisation. He has strong image processing skills and very acceptable post graduate qualifications with a Diploma of Geoscience in Mineral Exploration and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Computing. Neil has worked as a GIS contractor with several organisations in Sydney. His expertise in reporting is well recognised and his skills are a valuable enhancement to the Geos Mining team.

James Familar

James FamilarGraduate geologist, James Familar has first class honours in earth and Environmental Science and since joining Geos Mining has worked on 200 mm mud & core drilling on coal in South Australia and reverse circulation drilling in Qld. He is developing good skills in core logging, GIS mapping and database management. James is also knowledgeable on NSW and Qld government literature searching systems.

Olly Willetts

Olly WillettsGraduate geologist, Olly Willetts comes to Geos Mining with a masters degree in geophysical hazards and with considerable experience in GIS mapping. He has worked for 2 years as a geophysical catastrophe analyst with Aon Australia and prior to this spent 2 years in geological information technology at the Benfield Hazard Research Centre in UK. Olly is an enthusiastic young geologist gaining experience in exploration, particularly drilling management and geology.

Kieren Whittock

Kieren Whittock Graduate geologist, Kieren Whittock has completed his first class honours degree and is making a valuable contribution to Geos Mining. His skills in GIS and 3D modelling are growing and he is involved in mapping and drilling operations.

Matt Doyle

Matt Doyle Graduate geologist, Matt Doyle  has a Masters degree in Geoscience with a strong background in mathematics.  Matt spent 2 years in the NSW Coal Compensation Board and one year in the NSW Department of Primary Industry prior to joining Geos Mining.  Matt will be working in a wide range of geology areas but may focus in the longer term on 3D modelling.
